Lip Enhancement with PermaLip™
NEWS
Mr Roy Ng has performed over 100 implant procedures.
Lucy, the first female patient in the UK says:
“I originally got in touch with Mr Ng to discuss fillers for my lips but Roy told me about Permalip because he was on his way to the Permalip launch, it sounded too good to be true but Roy was so impressed with the product I made an appointment as soon as I could. I’m more than happy with the results, I’m over the moon!” |

Lip enhancement techniques may be separated into two kinds: temporary and permanent. Temporary techniques involve the use of injectable fillers that need to be repeated approximately every 6-9 months to maintain the result. Permanent techniques usually involve the use of injectable gel, implants or fat.
As a result of shortcomings associated with existing lip enhancement techniques, extensive research has led to the creation and development of Permalip™, a revolutionary new implant for lip enhancement.
The Permalip™ implant is the only CE Marked medical device designed exclusively for lip enhancement. It is made from very soft silicone made in a shape corresponding to the dimensions of the lip. It is an implant and NOT an injection of silicone. The implant is solid, with a smooth surface that tapers at both ends to conform naturally to the normal lip. The implant is available in a variety of diameters and lengths to accommodate the uniqueness of each person’s lip characteristics. Although Permalip™ is permanent, it is also designed to be easily removable should a person wish to return to their original lip appearance.
The Permalip™ implant has undergone extensive clinical testing, has CE Marking in Europe and hundreds of successful procedures have been conducted to date.
Permalip™ is made of soft, solid silicone. Therefore, it cannot rupture or leak and will not grow into the surrounding tissue. The implant will not become hard or degrade over time. Permalip™ has a smooth surface that significantly reduces the development of excess scar tissue. Infection and delayed healing following the procedure are rare and antibiotics are given routinely.
The mouth and lips are numbed with local anaesthetic (similar to a visit to the dentist) ; then, two small incisions are made in the corners of the mouth. The implant is then passed through a tunnel in the lip and centered. The process is repeated for the other lip and the incisions are closed using dissolvable stitches. The procedure takes approximately 20 minutes to perform and is a similar experience to treatment with injectable fillers.
Following the procedure there may be some bruising and swelling although this is not severe and usually settles within a week. Normal activity may be resumed the following day but you may wish to take 1 or 2 days off from social engagements. You should refrain from vigorous exercise for a few days. Pain following the procedure is usually minimal and most patients find that Paracetamol is sufficient to settle any discomfort.
